About

Hello! I am so glad you’re here!

I am Meg Runion Perdue, an artist, photographer, and wife located in Chadotesville, Virginia. My life has always been filled with art, photography,  gardening, and craft projects for as long as I can  remember. My photography inspiration first came from my father; as a child I remember sneaking into the cabinet that held old 35mm slides my father took while in the Navy between 1965-1969.  I immediately became fascinated with the people within the photos and began to imagine and dream of the stories behind these people and places; precious snapshots in time. It was then I first understood the power and importance of a photograph.

My love continued to grow in high school where I was introduced to the darkroom. I would spend hours in the darkroom watching stories appear on the developing paper before my eyes.

After high school I went on to receive my BS in biology from James Madison University and was given the opportunity for some amazing travel and experiences in the biology field working for the Forest Service and US Fish and Wildlife Service through the US. While I loved working in the field I kept coming back to photography, art and any diy project I could get in to and quickly realized it was my true passion in life. I returned to Chadottesville in 2004 and began my caree as an arfist; I have since photographed countless weddings, families and portraits throughout the US and abroad.
